HOW TO CONTRIBUTE

Welcome

ClothesPAC is the voluntary, nonpartisan political action committee of the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA). ClothesPAC allows the executive and administrative personnel of AAFA member companies who have given prior approval to make personal, voluntary financial contributions to support candidates seeking elective office at the federal level who support issues important to the industry.

Why does AAFA have a PAC?

Active employee engagement in the political process is an important means of protecting our industry. Public policy decisions have an impact on apparel and footwear businesses. As a leader in our industry and the business community, it’s critical that we be engaged and have a robust, effective PAC.

Am I required to contribute to the PAC?

CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE PAC ARE STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. Your decision to contribute to the PAC has absolutely no effect on your status within your company.

How much can I contribute to the PAC?

Individuals are allowed to contribute up to $5,000 per year to the PAC. All contributions to ClothesPAC are voluntary. You may refuse to contribute without reprisal. Contributions at any level are always welcomed and appreciated. PAC contributions are not tax deductible.
